So I challenged myself to live on just water for today. I drank too much. Drank 4 glasses all in one go. The glass was 16 oz. Threw up all over just pure water. My stomach hurts and I got a bad taste in my mouth. /Rambling

You can actually get drunk on water doing that.

You can also die from it.

Not a bad day at all, ive drinken roughly 4.5 liters of water so far.

Removed all the important stuff for the motor besides the subframes,(wiring harness, grounds,fuel, driveshaft, exhaust, radiator, battery/tray) and removed the clutch master cylinder and bracket.

Not exactly the same but she chugged a gallon then didn’t piss & died.

So I heard that when you drink only water it flushes out vitals and nutrients.

Everything in moderation. Be careful.

You can actually give yourself diarrhea drinking too much water. They make you drink a ton when you get a colonoscopy, so you empty yourself.

A while back I sat down and worked out how much water I drank in a day; about 4.5L (1.18 Gallons). I love water.

Yep. Hyponatremia - if you drink so much water in a short time that your kidneys can’t keep up, the concentration of sodium in your blood drops. If it drops too rapidly, your brain starts to swell and it can absolutely kill you. A nurse even called in to that radio contest for the Wii to warn them and ask if they had consulted a doctor. They laughed at her.

Same reason it’s not good for athletes to drink pure water to hydrate during long periods of exertion.

Check out the link XJDano posted above. It is a real thing and it can kill you, although you generally have to drink a truly epic amount of water for that to happen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication says normal kidneys can deal with 0.8 to 1 litre per hour, but take that with a grain of salt - you know, because low sodium levels are the reason... Yeah that was a lame joke, but really, don’t go chugging large amounts of straight water just to see if you can, OK?

It was 100° with no wind over a period of 7 hours while I was doing all of the mentioned labor.
